BENGALURU: IPO-bound real estate and mortgage platform Square Yards has raised Rs 900 crore through a mix of debt and equity, catapulting it into the unicorn club as it gears up for a public listing. The funding round was anchored by real estate investment firm EAAA Alternatives, with participation from global corporate credit manager Muzinich & Co.The company said the round was completed at an equity valuation “significantly higher” than its previous funding round, without disclosing specific details. Square Yards is also looking to raise another $50-60 million over the next quarter as part of its broader capital strategy. The fresh capital will be used to strengthen the company’s balance sheet, expand into new markets and deepen investments in technology ahead of its planned initial public offering. TNN
